Children of any age are easy to entertain as long as you can capture their imagination. Children love and live for adventure so anything that you can do with them that helps them experience this they will love.
It doesn’t even take very much to do at all – For example a double bed can become a big pirate ship. You have to stay on the ship sailing through the sale battling the bad guys, sailing choppy seas and avoiding crocodiles. They will love it. A bed sheet over some chairs in the living room can become their den. Why not have a camp day where they live on the camp and stay in the tent. They won’t even think about it being just at home, they will love the adventure day.
If they want to do something else at home, why not prepare dinner for when daddy get homes. You can cook his favourite dinner; your children can design the menus, lay the table and even be daddy’s waiter. They will love that they are doing something special for daddy.
You can even have fun outside of the house. If it’s a nice day then take them to the local park or forest. Get them to hunt for funny shaped sticks or coloured stones. Have a picnic. Anything that keeps them occupied. You will find they create their own games of chase etc and the whole family will have a fun day out, which is great for everyone.
