For most of us pregnancy is a fun and exciting time; however the worry of finances and how you are going to afford everything can put a downer on this.
The great thing is that no matter your budget there are ways to make the cost of a new mouth to feed easier to manage.
The first step to managing finances is preparation and organization. Lots of the smaller items you can buy for your baby are cheap but they need so many of them. Bibs, clothes, shoes etc can all be brought cheaply but you need large numbers of them. Try and buy a couple of items every week or month to help the cost easier to manage. Even buying things for when your baby is older can help if you see them cheap enough. You will surprised at how fast the time comes when your baby is wearing clothes for ages 6 months etc.
Remember that new mums whether you are working or not are entitled to benefits and pay outs from the government. Lots of people are reluctant to claim these benefits because they feel it is some kind of charity; however you have paid taxes to allow people in your exact position to claim the help they need.
When you find out your pregnant try and put aside some money each week which will help against t he cost of nappies etc that you will need to buy once your new born is here.
